Privacy notice

How C&L Anchor handles personal information for clients, candidates and the people we support.

Who we are

C&L Anchor is a trading name of C&L Anchor Services Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17549593, incorporated in October 2026. Our registered office is Edison Business Centre, 52 Edison Road, Aylesbury, HP19 8TE. You can contact us at hello@clanchor.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Clients and enquirers: name, organisation, contact details and the content of your enquiry.
  • Candidates: identity and right-to-work documents, DBS certificate, references, employment history, professional registration and training records.
  • People we support: support plans, health information and safeguarding records, held under the instruction of the placing authority.

Why we hold it

To recruit and place staff, to deliver support safely, to meet our legal and regulatory duties, and to respond to enquiries. We rely on contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests and, where required, explicit consent.

Where we process health information or criminal-record data, we do so on the basis of explicit consent, a legal obligation, or the provision of health or social care under the Data Protection Act 2018. Our ICO registration is reference TBC.

If you email us a CV or an application, we treat it as a recruitment record and handle it under this notice.

How long we keep it

Candidate records are kept only while we are considering you for work and for as long afterwards as the law requires, then deleted. Support records are kept in line with the placing authority's schedule and our retention policy.

Who we share it with

With the client service where a worker is placed, with regulators and safeguarding partners where the law requires it, and with our software suppliers under written agreements. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us first; if we cannot resolve it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
